Announcement: 3rd FRASCAL Retreat at Kloster Banz
3rd FRASCAL Retreat from 17 – 18 November 2023 at Kloster Banz in Bad Staffelstein
We are pleased to announce that our next FRASCAL Retreat will soon be take place at Kloster Banz in Bad Staffelstein, located in the so-called „Franconian Switzerland“.
This idyllic community is known far and wide for its breathtaking scenery and health resort. What a fitting place for a scientific exchange in a quiet and thought-provoking environment! FRASCAL retreats are usually held as two-day seminars away from the FAU campus, accompanied by social activities to allow for informal get-togethers.
Perhaps this time some participants will even extend their stay over the weekend to explore this place steeped in Franconian history. Medieval monastic life, the Thirty Years‘ War, the monarchical intrigues of the Wittelsbach dynasty and the Second World War – all the historic events of the last thousand years in Franconia have left their mark on Kloster Banz.
Today, Kloster Banz serves as an educational centre that will generously open its doors to the FRASCAL Research Training Group. We are looking forward to two days of inspiring research ideas!
