Introduction to FRASCAL’s Research data Management
PD Dr. Sebastian Pfaller is going to introduce you to the following topics:
– FRASCAL’s Research Data Management
– publishing research data on ZENODO
– publishing software on ZENODO (possibly linked to git respositories)
– storing / archiving research data on FRASCAL NAS
The preliminary schedule is:
08:30 – 09:15: Welcome and outline of the minilecture
09:15 – 10:15: Legal background, preparation of data and / or software uploads
10:15 – 10:30: Coffee break & Discussion
10:30 – 12:30: Hands-on training part 1: Curating and uploading data / software, preparation of metadata
12:30 – 13:30: Joint lunch break (Mensa / Cafeteria)
13:30 – 15:00: Hands-on training part 2: Curating and uploading data / software, preparation of metadata
15:00 – 15:30: Closing and outlook
We kindly ask you to prepare the following (in case of any doubt, please do not hesitate to contact Sebastian):
– a data set or software package (in-house code) to be uploaded (we do not have to make it publicly available) on ZENODO (probably the data set which is the basis for your most recent publication / submission would be suitable)
– as an alternative (if you do not have anything available for publication): a data set or software package (in-house code) to be uploaded on the FRASCAL NAS (only available to FRASCAL members)
